Brinton Woods of Washington, DC

Brinton Woods Health and Rehabilitation Center of Washington, DC is the newest facility to become a part of the Brinton Woods network of care, joining the company in January of 2015. This 183-bed facility has served its community for more than 30 years, and has been a place of comfort and rehabilitation for residents, providing 24-hour skilled nursing, medical, hospice, and respite care. Under our new management, we look forward to continuing to provide enhanced amenities and the highest quality of care to our residents.

We offer an array of services to suit many medical needs and our team of interdisciplinary medical professionals works in partnership with the residents and their families to plan the best possible care. It is our goal that residents live a full, independent, and active life. While residents and their families are always able to choose their level of involvement, we encourage participation in daily activities that promote physical, mental, and social well-being.

We have a wonderful Therapeutic Recreational Program which includes a 10-passenger, wheel chair accessible van. In it, residents can go shopping, to the park, to the National Harbor, to tour the National Monuments, to baseball games, and connect with the community on a daily basis. As a part of our Therapeutic Recreational Program, our residents use the nearby, scenic Tucker Road walking trail in Fort Washington, MD for wellness walks.

Our facility has a team of medical professionals that includes wound care certified nurses and a wound care doctor who provide outstanding wound care in some of the most complex cases. Our rehabilitation program has also had some wonderful patient outcomes with our short-term stay residents. This kind of high quality care is provided to each of our residents in a caring, respectful, and compassionate environment.
